Chronology of cameras Acer
This is the first compact camera equipped with an 8 MP sensor, offered under the 350 € mark. Until now, this image size was reserved for bulky DSLRs and bridge cameras.
The CR-8530 comes in a black aluminum shell with a rugged look.
It offers eight automatic shooting modes designed to help beginners: automatic, night, portrait, sport, manual, aperture priority, shutter priority, and video. For the latter mode, the CR-8530 can record videos (with sound) at 640 x 480 px with a video stream of 15 frames per second. Their duration, as well as the number of photos, will then depend on the capacity of the inserted memory card. Fortunately, it supports SD cards up to 1 GB.
Despite positive points such as the autofocus constantly active during shooting and real-time histogram display, it does not respect colors and is slow to react: 2.4 seconds to power on, 1 second for focusing. And finally, 2.4 seconds between each photo.
