Chronology of cameras Akor
AKOR is a French brand created in 1986 with the purpose of marketing consumer electronics products. In 2010, Akor registered the trademarks FINECOOK® for the distribution of small household appliances, FINETECH® for the distribution of games and leisure products, FINESOUND® for the distribution of audio products, and FINESHOT® for the distribution of imaging products.
The Akor Fineshot DC590 is a 5-megapixel digital camera that can be pushed up to 12 megapixels using interpolation (creating additional pixels that are interpolated between the "real" pixels). It also has an 8x digital zoom, which consists of cropping the image to retain only its central part without changing its resolution. With these two features, this affordable camera seems promising on paper.
The camera is easy to use and offers the most common modes for this type of camera: Auto, landscape, backlight, night, portrait, and sports. Some options even allow for manual control of the camera. On the side of the camera, there is a switch for switching to Macro mode.
There is a function for detecting smiles, as well as a stabilizer, which is likely achieved by increasing the sensitivity, at the expense of image quality. The internal memory is only 16MB, but it is possible to use an 8GB Micro SD memory card.
