Chronology of cameras Ilford

The Sportsmaster Ilford is a semi-automatic camera: the selection of the film sensitivity fixes the shutter speed, the cell determines the aperture according to the luminosity (in automatic mode).
The patented focusing device is original: it consists of four shutter release buttons, each corresponding to a distance (portrait 1.50 m below, full-length portrait 2.50 m above, group 4 m still above and infinite landscape at the top).

It is only a Dacora-matic which does not even hide its origins, written in full on the crown of the lens.

This camera is also found under the name Hanimex Electra II.
