Wittnauer is a watch manufacturer that concurrently ventured into the distribution of cameras. They were typically manufactured by well-known brands, often by Braun.
The Wittnauer Legionnaire is essentially a Braun Super Colorette IIB, but it is equipped with a Gauthier Vero shutter and a treated Wittnauer Chromex lens with a focal length of 2.8/45 mm. It is a high-quality compact camera with a coupled rangefinder and a non-coupled light meter.
