Chronology of cameras Wutzelburg

This camera was manufactured by Photographische Manufaktur A. Wutzelburg. It was likely a small artisanal factory for photographic equipment located at that time in the historical center of Graz, Jungferngasse 4.

It is entirely made of blackened wood, externally covered with leather, with excellent attention to detail. The entire assembly is very lightweight.

The shutter is a Wollensak Junior with a single piston, bearing the inscription PAT. JULY 23.1.1901. The speeds are I, B, T.

The lens is a Special Aplanat with apertures ranging from f/8 to f/44.

The dark red leather bellows has a double extension, controlled by a rack located on the right side of the shutter. Inside it, there is a distance scale, made of ivory, with a double graduation.

The construction of the two arms supporting the lens board/shutter plate is unique. They are made of wood with two metal reinforcements or decorations at the front. A metal spacer connects them at the top. On this spacer, a tilting reflecting viewfinder is fixed.

On the sides of the two wooden supports, there are two metal appendages that, when pressed, allow for the vertical shift of the lens.
