Chronology of cameras Tokura

Tokura (not to be confused with Tokina, the resemblance may not be a coincidence) was a French brand involved in the distribution of cinematographic, photographic, and optical equipment, including lenses and electronic flashes.

Owned by Edixa-France1, it was registered in 1980 and again in 1982, but for electrical devices such as radios, televisions, equipment for sound and image reproduction, cassette players, and video cassettes.
The brand was renewed in 1990 by a resident of Andorra, and subsequently renewed again (without further details).

1 Edixa-France was a publicly traded company established in 1977 and closed in 1985, primarily engaged in the distribution of films, videos, and television programs.

__________

It is likely to expand its range of lens that Tokura released this reflex camera, manufactured by Cosina. It has the advantage of having a K mount (Pentax), which allows it to be complemented by lenses of much better quality than the Tokura zoom. It can also operate at all speeds without a battery. Its winding lever must be detached from the body in order to control the exposure and trigger the shutter.

Three green or red diodes visible in the viewfinder allow exposure management.

At the origin of this model, we find the Cosina CT1 EX.
