Chronology of cameras Himax
This model is quite large and very angular. Its size can be explained by the presence of the motor, but the bulge around the fixed-focus lens is unexplained. It's a Self Focus (that's what's written, and probably justifies the SF in the name); indeed, it focuses by itself since it's fixed-focus. A lever allows choosing the film sensitivity—100 or 200/400 or 1000 ISO. The lever acts directly by moving a plate pierced with three holes of different diameters inside or behind the lens.
A sliding cover protects the lens. This lens, 3.8/38 mm, is made in Japan, but the manufacturing location of the camera is not indicated.
