Chronology of cameras Ilford
The Advocate, manufactured by Kennedy for Ilford, is the first English 135. The series opened to 4.5 and I had no flash sync. This model is of the series II and opens to 3.5.
Standard lenses were Dallmeyer, but there were other more rare models with other lenses. The lens, set on a square bow is engraved with shooting instructions that are as beautiful as hieroglyphs (even more beautiful on the series I).
The Advocate is usually made of cast aluminum enameled with an ivory white colour. It seems that some versions were coloured black or gold. The body has complex, but sweet and varied.shapes It opens by shifting a matte and natural aluminum blade on the side.
The trigger has an horizontal movement.
This beautiful device is quite heavy. However, its grip is nice.
