Chronology of cameras Closter

In 1959, Italy was actively preparing for the XVII Summer Olympics. As with every Olympiad, a large number of products were given Olympic names. Closter followed this tradition and named this simple camera "Olympic."

The lens carries a German name, Optisches Werk Lambron, but this is merely a ploy to give the impression of German manufacturing. More prosaically, Lambron refers to Lambrate, a district in Milan.

Very simple in design, apart from focusing, this device only offers the choice of three apertures defined by pictograms: a rainy cloud (labeled "color"), a sun behind a cloud, and a sun alone. However, it does have flash synchronization, which is preferable with such a small aperture!
