Chronology of cameras Agfa
The Agfa Clack1 is somewhere between a box-type camera and a compact camera, as its proportions are closer to the former. It is a massive, sturdy, and rustic camera with a viewfinder on the top cover, a wheel for advancing the film, a flash socket, a plastic side handle, and a reptile skin-like plastic covering. It also has a retractable close-up lens attachment.
It takes 6 x 9 cm format photos on 120 film. Agfa produced it for more than ten years. During this long period, the camera underwent only a few rare modifications, the most notable being the addition of a yellow filter. Other differences include variations in the film advance button, the presence or absence of colored pictograms, and different text under the lens. Models with an inscription mentioning the full name of the company are older than those with only a "Made in Germany" label.
1The name "Clack" was already used by Rietzschel at the beginning of the century.
On this specimen, it is written under the lens Agfa CameraWerk AG München Germany.
The film advance knob has few facets. The pictograms are colored.
