Il semble que DeJur n'était pas un constructeur mais un revendeur, sous sa marque, d'appareils d'origines diverses. Ainsi, ce D-1 est un appareil allemand, un Neidig Perlux.
Il a une forme particulière, compacte; il est lourd (par rapport au Neidig), très solide.
L'objectif vissé se sépare au niveau de la seconde bague crénelée.
En 1956, cet appareil était vendu 42,50 dollars.
