Chronology of cameras Kodak
Pony means Pony in English, but in the American imagination it is often associated with the conquest of the West and native horses.
Kodak used this name for an entire series of popular cameras. The design of the models is by Arthur H. Crapsey.
The first model to bear this name was initially a Bantam format, then very quickly became a 35 mm camera, as the Bantam format was becoming increasingly obsolete. Bantam film produces a negative only slightly larger than 135, but it is not as practical, since it is not contained in a cartridge. As Kodak clearly intended to focus on 135 colour emulsions (slides or paper), it gradually phased out 828 by discontinuing the production of cameras using it.
The Pony 135 was produced in several combinations of lenses and shutters, with or without flash synchronisation. Model C is brown. Some models were manufactured in France, with an Angénieux lens.

Brian Coe defines the B model as the one with a 44 mm lens. Yet on this example, the lens is 51 mm. Upon verification, it turns out that Brian Coe confused it with the C model, which indeed has a 44 mm lens.
