Un chef-d'œuvre de la mécanique de précision allemande. Un appareil qui, grâce à ses caractéristiques externes distinctives associées à toutes les innovations de la construction d'appareils photo modernes, devrait satisfaire même les demandes les plus exigeantes !
La finesse du boîtier avec de riches raccords en nickel pour protéger les bords est particulièrement frappante.
C'est Hoffmeister qui le dit.
C'est un appareil en bois dur, à l'intérieur noir poli. L'abattant est en bois avec des rails de roulement extra-larges et bien nickelés. Le soufflet est à extension double. L'objectif peut se décentrer dans les deux sens. Il a un dispositif d'ouverture à ressort.
Il existe aux formats 4,5 x 6, 6,5 x 9 , 9 x 12 et 10 x 15. Les objectifs disponibles sont tous de bonne facture avec des ouvertures importantes.

Wilhelm Hoffmeister, born in 1895, was the brother of the astronomer Cuno Hoffmeister (1892 - 1968). They were the sons of a doll manufacturer from Sonneberg in Thuringia. While the older brother left many traces in their hometown, including a street named after him, and made an impact in literature, it is indeed challenging to find information about Wilhelm and the cameras sold under his brand.
