Le Voigtlander VSL 3-E est identique au Rolleiflex SL 35 E, car la marque Voigtlander avait été rachetée par Rollei avant la sortie de ces deux modèles en 1978. Les objectifs standards livrés avec ces deux modèles, bien qu'ils ne portent pas le même nom, sont également identiques et ont été fabriqués à Singapour par Rollei.
