The letters 'RF' do not mean this camera is equiped with a RangeFinder. No, this is a low range camera, probably manufactured by some Nikon's contractor.
This RF is an entry level camera replacing the L135 AF. It can also be found under the "Fun Touch" name. Focus is possible as near as 95cm. A data back version exists and is named "RD".
Starting 1988, the Nikon RF2 take its place.
