Chronology of cameras Zeh
The identification of this camera is uncertain, but it appears to be a Zeh Astro. The technical characteristics: metal construction, double-extension, spirit level, lens and shutter make it a top-of-the-range one, which would have pushed the American distributor to give it the name of Royal, just that.
The camera is available in two formats: 6.5 x 9 and 9 x 12 cm. Only one shutter model, but three different lenses are available: Zecanar and Tessar opening at 4.5 and Xenar opening at 3.5. On the 9 x 12 version, the lens-shutter assembly is mounted on a bayonet.
