L'histoire des modèles Voigtländer portant le nom de Perkeo est assez longue. Ce fut d'abord un folding 3 x 4 sur film 127, produit du début des années 30 jusque vers 1935/36. Après guerre, vers 1950, Voigtländer construisit deux folding 6 x 6, le Perkeo I et le Perkeo II. Ce dernier a la particularité d'avoir une sécurité contre la double exposition et un compteur de vues. Vers 1954, il y eut un Perkeo E, considéré comme un Perkeo II auquel a été ajouté un télémètre non couplé.
