Chronology of cameras Barbier et Thierry
The least one can say is that Barbier et Thierry lacked much imagination in naming their cameras! Each model is simply designated by a letter of the alphabet, and the range follows alphabetical order. Modèle A is the most basic, followed by B, and so on.
In comparison to Modèle B, Modèle C cameras are equipped with better shutters and higher-quality lenses. Clamps facilitate the extension of the bellows. Other differences are minor.
E. Barbier and G. Thierry are mentioned together in the photographic industry indicator of January 1929, for photographic cameras and accessories. From 1931, the business name becomes G. Thierry and Co, successors.
Starting from 1932, phonographs are added to the advertisements.
After 1934, nothing more is mentioned.
