Chronology of cameras Zimmermann
This camera uses 127 format roll films and produces 4 x 4 size frames. It is made of metal, covered with frost looking paint.
There are two tiny drawings on the shutter cover, a circle and a square. The square indicates that the shutter is armed, ready for being triggered. As soon as the shutter is triggered, the small lever that was in front of the square goes back in front of the circle. The film has then to be advanced, next the shutter has to be armed by raising the small lever.
When the camera back is opened, one can see that the film is inserted in it, and not inside the body as on many cameras.
At the same period as the Luxette, Zimmermann offers the Luxette S, whose shutter is fitted with a flash sync socket.
