Il semble exister de nombreuses versions de l'Idea A, construites à partir de 1920 par Konishi Honten, devenant, bien plus tard, Konica.
Sur celle-ci (format Tefuda ou 8 x 10,5 cm), la plaque ronde, gravée "the Idea", que l'on voit souvent sur ces modèles, n'est pas présente. Ce n'est pas un cas isolé, il n'y a d'ailleurs pas de trace d'une plaque disparue. Certains distributeurs demandaient sans doute des versions anonymes pour les vendre sous leurs propres références.
Elle est en tout cas parfaitement conforme à une autre clairement identifiée, à l'exception du viseur : noir sans niveau à bulle ici, chromé avec niveau par ailleurs. Là aussi, d'autres exemples similaires sont connus. Il est probable que la construction s'adaptait à la disponibilité de certaines pièces. Si on avait encore le moindre doute, la présence de châssis au côté de cette chambre, remarquablement bien construits et rigoureusement identiques à ceux issus de Konishi Honten, confirme bien l'origine.

Par contre, l'assemblage obturateur Pronto / objectif Rodenstock Trinar Anastigmat n'est référencé pour le moment nulle part : ceci conforte l'hypothèse d'un distributeur externe, comme il en existait déjà plusieurs au Japon dans les années '20. Il faudrait bien sûr retrouver une publicité ou un catalogue correspondant pour valider totalement cette piste... dans ce domaine, on n'est bien sûr pas à l'abri d'une substitution.

Cette chambre a été trouvée rangée dans un étui en cuir, doublé d'un superbe velours violet, avec un seul châssis double et un adaptateur Film Pack.

1938 Introduction of the Semipearl camera.
1940 Announcement of the production of the first Japanese color film, Sakura Natural Color Film.
1943 The company adopts its current name, Konishiroku Photo Industry Co., Ltd., and the factories are renamed.
1944 Merger with Showa Photo Industries Co., Ltd., adding the Odawara and Koyama factories to the company.
1945 End of the war, leading to a chaotic economic situation. A major reorganization is undertaken to enable the company to survive this tumultuous period.
1948 Sale of the first KONICA-branded cameras and resumption of exports.

1969 Development by Konishiroku of the world's first compact holographic camera.
1970 Start of the sale of U-Bix electrostatic dry photocopying machines. Introduction of SAKURA High Resolution Plate, ultra-fine grain, high-resolution sensitive material essential for Integrated Circuit manufacturing.
1971 Introduction of the new SAKURACOLOR. Commencement of U-Bix MARK I export.
1973 Celebration of the 100th anniversary of the company. Adoption of the new logo. Departure for a new century with renewed enthusiasm.
