Chronology of cameras Albini

The Alba N° 63 is a very compact plate camera with a format of 6 x 4.5 cm, sold around 1914 by Ganzini & Namias* (Milan, Italy), which acquired the Albini company in 1905.

The camera is made of black-painted metal and is not covered. The struts are scissor-like and slide on the base, automatically unfolding to infinity when the camera is opened. Focus is adjusted using a lever near the lens base that slides on a scale. Above the front, there's a sliding Newton viewfinder and the shutter release.

The shutter is an Albini, offering speeds ranging from 1/25 to 1/100, plus B and 0 (open). The shutter consists of two blades. The lens is an Alba S Hemi-Anastigmat with a maximum aperture of 7.5.

*Mario Malavolti dates it to 1910.
