Chronology of cameras Kodak

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

Contemporary of Mercury, Kodak 35 RF astonishes about in the same way, so much the form is biscornue. It is due to the coupling between the rangefinder and the Focusing which is done outside by a system of transmission hidden under a bent casing. By dismounting the camera, Jean-François Weber realized that the visible notched wheel on the left does not have any role of buttress to maintain the lens in support with the visible system on the right, as I supposed it, but does not have as a function to facilitate the rotation of the ring of the distances with a finger, without sealing the rangefinder. The rangefinder is of the type with coincidence; i.e. that it is divided into two horizontally and that the Focusing makes it possible to put at coincidence the images these two parts.
This 35 mm has a lens 3,5/50 mm special Kodak and a Kodamatic shutter (1940-48) or special Kodak and a shutter Flash Kodamatic (1946-48) or Kodak Anastar and a shutter Flash Kodamatic (1947-51).

It replaced Kodak 35 in order to face the competition of Argus C3, without success.
