Chronology of cameras Adox
In 1949, the Sport allowed the Adox brand to regain its place in the consumer camera market. It is a robust folding camera, without originality, almost austere and which takes up the technical solutions of pre-war, largely tested. When it comes out, it does not have a number; it would become 0 when Sport I, Sport II, and Sport III were released in 1950.

These models have a non-optical double frame viewfinder on the side, except the Sport 0 which additionally has a rectifier viewfinder. From 1952, a hood incorporated the viewfinder, an accessory shoe, the lid opening button and the shutter release button. These new models have a Cassar lens. The names of these models end with an A.
The Sport (0) with Vario shutter does not undergo any modification of the viewfinders and then takes the name of Start. Its lens becomes a Cassar 6.5/105 mm. __________
Unlike other models, the Start is mono-format. Since this model is rarely encountered in catalogs, it is possible that it was reserved for a few distributors.
