Chronology of cameras Adox
After the Sport and the Golf in the early 1960s, here is a new series of 35 mm cameras whose name evokes dynamism, by associating a certain idea of luxury. But despite their name, some Polos are simple cameras, without much technicality, and even less luxury.
The series includes the following models (source Mc Keown):

1 The Radionar L 2.8/45mm lens has a specificity, denoted by the L. Its lenses are coated by adding lanthanum oxide La2O3 to increase the refractive index. Lanthanum is one of the rare earth metals.
2 With built-in lightmeter.
__________
The Polomat 1 has the main characteristics of the Polo 1 S, but it also features a Bertram exposure meter. The settings for the shutter speed and aperture move two needles in the small window on the top of the camera. The exposure is considered correct when the needles coincide. The values can be read in the viewfinder with the Polomat 1 S.
The Polomat 1 and Polo 1 S were presented together at the XXVI Salon Photo-Cinema in 1961.
This particular camera was accompanied by a 1966 customs receipt indicating that an Adox camera was purchased in West Germany under serial number 6346943.
