Chronology of cameras Contessa-Nettel

Traduction de Manuel M

The Contessa brand amalgamated with Nettel in 1919, before integrating the Zeiss Ikon group in 1926.

Declined in two formats (120 and 116), this model received various combinations of shutters and lenses.
The model presented is with format 116 and makes it possible to obtain images with the format 6.5 x 13 cm.
The Derval shutter, offering speeds 1/25, 1/50 and 1/100ème + B and T poses, is associated here with a lens Contessa-Nettel 1:6,6 of 10.5 cm focal distance.
The adjustment of the distance from focusing is done on a guide notched for distances of  2,3,5 meters and the infinite.

The brand Contessa Nettel appears in two locations: on the one hand on a circular plate, on notched edge, riveted on the back, on the other hand on the plate screwed with the top of the lens also mentioning the values of aperture.

The name of the Cocarette model is reproduced only on the crutch.

A little soiled with the purchase, this camera required some care to make it presentable and try to find the khaki color green of the bellows. It's a pity that it misses the coating of origin on the handle of which there remains only the metal arch.
