Chronology of cameras Gaumont 

This magazine box camera has similarities with those produced by Murer. If you look at the rear side, where on the Murer camera is a nice drawing there is here a simple "Elgé" followed by a "Paris".
"Elgé" is the transformation of the original LG, which stands for Léon Gaumont.

Léon Gaumont was not yet well known. He was just taking the "General Counter Photography" to his former boss (who then became his partner) Max-Felix Richard, brother of Jules.
