Boxes manufactured by Braun (Carl Braun Camerawerk) in Nuremberg have, for most of them, two variations: one for the domestic market and/or sold by Braun, marketed as IMPERIAL; the other one sold abroad and/or sold by retailers, which can bear different names. During the twenty-or-so years following World War II, many productions were outsourced or restarted, which makes the situation complicated to understand.

This model was manufactured by Gerlach (Camera-Werk Adolf Gerlach) which restarted in 1955 the manufacturing stopped by Braun in 1954. It is a 6x9cm metallic, painted box. It has bulb and instant settings. There are no cable release or tripod sockets.
