This "black" finish version of the 500 C/M is equipped with the prism viewfinder for framing at 90 ° and with the trigger handle equipped with an upper hot shoe that could receive the detachable head of a flash as the Braun 700.
The lever operated focusing at right hand and the cocking crank which replaced the button which equipped the camera originally were very handy elements.
Thus configured, it was a great device very fast to adapt.

Coverage and depth of field of the 50 mm lens focused in the area indicated by the sharpness index, enabled with a little practice to make pictures "on the fly" or arm extended, practicing instinct framing and triggering by right or left hand, and thus capture expressions far more natural than those that are taken of subjects when they see the eye coming closer to the viewfinder.
