Chronology of cameras Ihagee
The Exakta Varex succeeded in 1950the Kine Exakta, and incorporates its main aesthetic and technical characteristics.
It is distinguished primarily by its viewfinder now interchangeable, thus overcoming the main criticism that could be given to the Kine Exakta.
In addition, it has three separate flash sync sockets M, F and X.
This camera has brought happiness to generations of photographers to the east and west (a dynamic American importer contributed to its success across the Atlantic), the most prestigious optical vendors offering dedicated versions (even Nippon Kogaku more known as Nikon, proposed in the 50's a version of its 135mm Ihagee mount ...). Some of these lenses are equipped with a semi-automatic diaphragm, pressing the release button just before the trigger point causing the closure of the diaphragm to the pre-selected value.
A host of accessories, including some for professional use such as endoscopes, microscopes and other medical imaging accessories make Varex II the basis on an ultra-complete photographic system.
There are two versions of Varex IIa, one with engraved inscriptions and the other with embossed inscriptions.
