Chronology of cameras Leica
Traduction de Christian Surle.
Leica model III is an improved version of model II. Both cameras have long coexisted in the shop windows in order to offer some choice to the customers inside the price list.
Model III differs from model II by extra slow speeds that are set with the front barrel. The telemeter now features a corrective lens. You can notice an eyelet to fit the strap.
This silver version dates back to 1935. The upper photo shows a 2/50 mm 1935 Summar. The lower one shows the 1934 Elmar , fitted with the Nooky accessory, devoted to macro photography. The Nooky set is composed with an extension ring, a lens before the finder and a prism before the telemeter.
