Chronology of cameras Mithra
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand
Swiss manufacture is faithful to its reputation: Mithra 47, in addition to being a beautiful object, is entirely metal. The back, with stop round, is moulded in only one block and comes to fix itself at the remainder of the camera thanks to the visible metal strip on the top of the camera right in front of the leather handle; a black cotton yarn ensures the role of joint in contact with the two parts of the camera. To add a little more serious one to this already rigorous manufacture; a protective metal plate is folded back in front of the mechanism of obturation between each view.
On the photograph (on the left) one can see from top to bottom:
- the selector of opening which reduces a perforated plate making it possible to pass from F/8 to F/11;
- the release;
- the pull knob which makes it possible to select the pause or the instantaneous one.
Mithra 47 has only one finder but this one swivels inside the camera to position with the choice in portrait or landscape.
Curiosity; in Mithra 47, the film is maintained not in a way plane but slightly convex backwards of the camera.
