Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
The Box-Tengor 3 x 4 cm, far better known as the Baby-Box, has (almost) made it through the war years. It was produced, probably with long slack periods, from 1930 to 1945.
This 54/18 A variant can be recognized by its front face, decorated with a hexagon and by its Frontar lens. It was manufactured from the end of 1931 to April 1945 (Fall of the Reich). It is a metal box, with rounded edges. The steel sheet is hidden by some imitation leather sheathing. The viewfinder is rudimentary, and undoubtedly very inaccurate. There is no focusing and a single, slow speed, and B exposure. Only one aperture is available.
