Chronology of cameras Kowa

Traduction de Christian Surle
The main characteristic of KOWA 35mm bodies was their central shutter concept, following the Voitgländer “Bessamatic” one. Only a few manufacturers kept this technology on 35mm reflexes after the sixties. Indeed, as is written thereafter, this is a quite expensive technical choice whose only benefit is to get a flash sync on every shutter speed. The SeT-R is built on a KOWA SeT fixed lens base; it is a semi-auto camera featuring TTL measurement by twin CdS cells. The CdS cell (10 to 800 ASA) is supplied with a mercury battery. A ring around the lens mount permits central Seiko shutter to work from 1 sec to 1/500° sec (Olympus will adopt the same disposal on its OM bodies).
