Remplaçant du Vito II, il dispose d'un nouveau capot et d'un levier d'armement rapide.
Il était disponible soit avec un obturateur Pronto soit avec un Prontor SVS.
De conception ancienne (le premier Vito ayant cette forme date de 1939), il est directement concurrencé par le Vito B, beaucoup plus moderne et de performances identiques.
