Chronology of cameras Balda

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand.

The scissors of the bellows are of a not very current form. What also surprises is the shining metal overload of the front face for the time. We already saw with another camera of the mark that this use of pressed metal is not unusual for the mark, but that it is also often the cause of a bad conservation of the cameras.
In this case, on the front face, the metal parts correspond to the choice of the aperture (in top): 11, 16 and 22, by displacement of a bored plate of holes of various sizes; with the choice speed: B or M (instantaneous in German); with the choice of the distance: P or infinite symbol, by displacement of a lens cap for the P.
I miss the internal mask which makes it possible to choose one of the two formats of this camera : 3 X 4 or 4 X 6,5. The two dorsal windows of it are characteristic.
