Chronology of cameras Ernemann
The Ernemann Spiegel-Reflex-Camera was produced between 1907 and 1918. Formats varied between 6.5 x 9 up to 12 x 16.5 cm, including 10 x 15 for stereoscopy. However, catalogues do not refer this format for single lens, which is the case of this specimen. It has leather bellows and viewing hood, and has geared vertical movement and normal cross movement.
The focal plane shutter delivers speeds in the range 1 to 1/2500 plus Z, by a combination of slit width and helical tension.
The lens is enclosed with a front flap and is a Carl Zeiss Tessar with 18 cm of focal length and a maximum aperture of 4.5.
The Ernemann Spiegel-Reflex-Camera 10 x 15 open and set for close-up.
The camera closed.
