Chronology of cameras Closter

When you first pick up the Closter C61, its weight gives an initial impression of seriousness, which is unfortunately quickly contradicted when you delve into the details. The body of the camera and the back are made of cast aluminum alloy and are well finished. However, the shutter release is a small flat metal lever that protrudes from the front to control a two-speed rotary shutter (1/50 and B mode). The diaphragm offers two apertures indicated by symbols: cloud and sun or full sun, with the largest opening at f/7. When the back is opened, you'll notice that the film pressure plate is a simple sheet of metal, without a spring, but perfectly designed to leave beautiful scratches on the film's backing.

In short, it's a basic camera, quite attractive in appearance but too rudimentary to teach the fundamentals of photography to a beginner.

In this particular model, the plates with the model and brand names have a red background.
