This camera with instantaneous porocess was manufactured 1976 to 1978, in the USA.
The instant picture Kodak was introduced in France on May 23, 1977 (whereas it was available in North America since 1976). The first range available in France was consisted of the EK4, EK6 and EK8.
The flattened shape of the body was possible with the use of mirrors between the lens and the film plan. The setting of the distance from shooting is done while making slip an index located under the finder (on the right). This index although it has only three picto (portrait, group, landscape) is progressive and makes turn the lens around whose a double distance scale in meters and feet is. The sliding motion of the index changes the diameter of an orange circle which appears in the finder. The edges of the circle are clear when the focusing is correct.
The index located on the left makes it possible to regulate the intensity of the impression of the photograph (Darken towards Lighten).
The shutter release is above the crank.
The low part of the frontage is equipped with flexible vinyl , making more pleasant the catch in hand of the camera.
A check of batteries is located behind the camera.
The exit of the photograph is done while turning the handle located on the left. Photo go out with the bottom of the camera. The change of film is possible by opening the base of the body. The battery is in the base of the body and is accessible by the trap door from film change.
