Olympus plays on the notoriety of the Trip cameras of the 60s by baptizing this compact Trip AF 20. The release of this model is accompanied by that of a Trip AF 200 and Trip AF 21. The Trip 200 is a simple model without focus , the Trip AF 20 is autofocus and the Trip AF 21 has some additional features.
This mini range will be replaced in 1996 by that of the Trip 300, Trip AF 30 and Trip AF 31, then in 2002, by that of the Trip 500, Trip AF 50 and Trip AF 51. Each time, the range is distributed in the same way.
On the Trip 20, the aperture is fixed and the automatic exposure only manages the speed. The sensitivity is adjusted by reading the DX code of the 135 cartridges.
The flash can be forced or disabled by the controls on the front.
And the lens cover serves as an on-off control.
