Chronology of cameras Ricoh
This is the first (?) of at least six very similar cameras marketed between 1985 and 1989. The others were the AF-45, AF-55, AF-60, AF-60s and AF-70. The principal difference appears to be that the AF-50, AF-60, and AF-70 have a 'Rikenon' lens (4 elements 3 groups), whilst the AF-45, AF-55 and AF-60s have a 'Ricoh' lens (3 elements 3 groups) The AF-50 and the AF-70 have DX decoding and provision to set sensitivity for films not DX coded. This example has lost the foam covering on the side held in the right hand
