Chronology of cameras Busch

The Verascope, a French camera, was sold in the United States after the war under the Busch brand. It was regarded as the best stereo camera there. While the American version is technically similar to the French models, its "Busch" branding makes it a distinct product.

One of the reasons for its success across the Atlantic is the choice of format (24 x 30), offering larger views than other stereo cameras sold in the USA.

This particular unit bears the number 3219081, indicating it is the 3219th, from August 1951. The lenses are "Som Berthiot Paris Flor 1:3.5 F=40" with serial numbers 1075639 and 1075560. The flash socket is of the double-pin type.
