Chronology of cameras Merten

The Merit is part of the small group of bakelite box cameras, like the Agfa Trolix. The latter is black, enhanced by a few chrome. Merten made the bet of a flecked brown bakelite, and a leather handle. The result is a little less austere, but remains serious.
Advertising tells us that there are at least three models different by the format or level of finish. Still according to this advertisement, the bakelite has shimmering colors. It can be assumed that this is what distinguishes the "luxury" version.
It has two speeds (Inst. and Time) and three apertures.

Its material makes it very fragile. It has therefore become rare.
