Chronology of cameras Encore

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

I read time with other of the debates on “Which is the first disposable one?”. It seems not to have final answer. Those which never raised the question, will answer that that must be Fuji or Kodak towards the end of 1980; those a little more “pointed” will answer that it must be a question of Fex Pack Matic in 1966. While going up further, one arrives at the years 1880 (see on this subject the article of E.S. Lothrop in the bulletin of the Club Nièpce Lumière n°88).
L'Encore is an American disposable of the end of the Forties, at the beginning of 50. It is made of paperboard. It contains a film 127, 12 exposures. It has only one speed and a simple finder. Once the twelve photographs taken, it was necessary to write its name with the site adequate, to stick a stamp of 6 cents, to slip a ticket of one dollar inside the camera (but I did not find how) and to put the whole in a box at letters. By mail, returned the twelve photographs and a reloaded camera of a new film.
