Chronology of cameras Argus
This Argus V-100 is an Iloca Rapid IIL from Germany, which, to be integrated into the Argus range, had its original lens replaced with a more American model. It was even produced in two versions. One has a lens with an aperture of 2.8, while the other has a lens with an aperture of 2. The second version, which is brighter, is presented here.
Montgomery Ward claims exclusivity for it in their catalog.
The manufacturing is done in aluminum, and the body is covered in leatherette.
The frame counter is located on the bulge at the base of the lens barrel, just below the V-100 label, allowing it to be easily read by the photographer from above the camera.
