Chronology of cameras Hansen

This small jumelle camera, size 6.5 x 9 is very compact and handy.

Plate change is made using a leather pouch, but thanks to a lever on the back, this action becomes very easy and at the same time activates a frame counter automatically.
Unfortunately, this copy was missing the lens and the trigger. According to some sources, the lens was a Steinheil.

Shutter is cocked by means of a slider at right hand. Once cocked, one can select the bulb with the slider on the front which is held in position by a small lever. The speeds are adjustable by a button on the front, but without any indication. This small hand held  jumelle also allows the photo on a tripod with two Congress standard threaded sockets

The Photo Club Rouennais published  Le Voyage à Saint-Sever" (he trip to Saint-Sever) which has photos that amateur Louis Chesneau performed with The Vega in 1899. (Including a self-portrait showing his camera.).
