Les Adler sont rares et quelquefois difficiles à classer dans la succession des sociétés affiliées à Riken.
Il semble que l'Adler C n'ait été distribué que par la branche Riken. C'est le cas de cet exemplaire portant le logo Rkk pour Riken Kōgaku Kōgyō sur la plaque du bloc obturateur ainsi qu'embossé sur l'étui.
L'appareil lui-même est inspiré du Balda Baldax 00, avec l'implantation du viseur sur le capot opposé et la mise en place d'un déclencheur sur le capot.
Camera-wiki rapproche cet appareil du Semi Rody de Shibayama dont il pourrait être une version renommée pour Riken, mais ne propose pas d'illustration.
La mention Oozi sur l'objectif pourrait faire référence à l'usine Riken d' Ōji, l'optique serait donc d'origine Riken.
