This Cavalier camera is a derivative of the Kowa H, advertised as the first camera equipped with an "Electric Eye," meaning it had automatic exposure control.
Another unique feature is its rapid winding lever folding under the base, operated by the left thumb.
Cavalier is the brand of the American store Willoughby-Peerless Camera Store - 136 West 32nd St. New York, which explains the name of the Peerotar lens.
