Chronology of cameras Canon
The Canon L2 is derived from the VT, retaining its main features with some modifications:
- The wind lever is moved to the top plate.
- The shutter speed is limited to 1/500.
- The self-timer is removed.
- The synchronization is set exclusively for flash bulbs.
When released, the L2 was sold for 67,000 Yen with a 50mm f/1.8 lens.
In 1958, Canon released an identical camera with a self-timer and X synchronization: the VL2, a precursor to the P.
