Chronology of cameras Marvel

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

If we compare this half-format 127 camera with other cameras like Argus A2F or Falcon, we can suppose, seen certain common points, that they are contemporary. This Marvel would thus have been probably manufactured between the end of the 30s and the beginning of the 50s. The reasons which decorate the body are similar to those of Argus A2F. The use of a metal back in is another common point.
This camera is relatively well equipped since it has a rangefinder, a extinctometer, a depth-of-field table, a distance setting, a shutter allowing speeds of 1/25 to 1/200 of second plus the exposure with one or at two times.

The left finder is the rangefinder. It is not coupled; the setting of distance from the rangefinder is done with the serrated roller located at right. The large window is that of the extinctometer. The fact that it is about a half format 127 explains the presence of two Film frame numbers window on the back.
