Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
After the production of the Ikoflex I was stopped during the fall of the Reich, production did not resume until 1946, keeping the same model name and code. These first copies have a sometimes minimalist level of finish (no cladding) and may have a Tessar lens delivered by Carl Zeiss Jena (VEB).
In 1951 the model was modified and renamed Ikoflex Ia with the new code 854/16. It was then 100% West German. The level of finish is improved. There are aesthetic differences. The two lenses are connected by a housing.
